When i was in 1st grade my dream was to become a ice skater like other international and famous ice skater, that can do amazing tricks and all. Since my best friend Soo Lim was learning how to ice skate and how to draw how to sing and etc... i thought i should learn something i really wanted to do. I didnt know that learning something new can be a really hard experience. After begging my mom after days and days she finally allowed me to learn how to ice skate with my friend, but she warned over servall time that i will have a really hard time. My mom knew that once i got their i will be terrified to go on the the ice rink, and she wasnt wrong. I still wanted to give it a try so badly, and i was wishing that hopefully at the end of the day i will be proud of myself.
Soon as i went to my ice skating lesson, and put the skates on i started to get so nervous. As i got closer to the rink i just stood their with no experision on my face. I tried to make up excuses saying that i have to go to the bathroom, i wasnt feeling good and so on. Soon as my friend arrived i took her arm and hold it tight agaisnt the wall while giving her face signals, to tell my mom im not feeling good. Other kids above my age started arriving so fast, which ment time to go on the rink. I got really uncomfortable that the little kids seemed so confident, and i looked so depress. I could see my mom laughing at me through the window, i wondered why i got myself into this.
As i took my first step on the ice rink my heart started to beat faster. My friend kindly lended me her hand to hol on to just incase i fall. After 20 minutes of hearing the teachers instruction the teacher told us to skate 2 laps and come back. The teacher saw the sad expresion on my face and kindly came to and holded my hand and taught me the basics on how to ice skate. Soon as i knew i was skating like all the others were, the teacher incourged me by mentioning im a fast learner than any other ice skaters. At the end of the day I was so proud of myself for being confident and trying my best to keep up with the other skaters that were not perfect but was pretty good.
